It is beginning to show, that sixty people have lived in INCUBA Sciencepark for the last 24 hours, with post-its and technology laying everyware. The ten groups are working at full throttle in order to get ready for the big pitch sunday evening, and that calls for a lot of coffee. As a little break we have arranged for Tim Vang (MyC4) to come and give the participants a peptalk on how to become motivated, and most importantly how to stay motivated as en entreprenaur. At dinner time people gather in the canteen to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine, before continuing the hard work, only interrupted by the 2010 world cup in football.

-Startup Weekend is now happening in Aarhus, Denmark.
Friday night we welcomed about 70 people all characterized by a great passion for developing ideas and expanding their horizon. The concept of Aarhus Startup Weekend can be explained in very few sentences: people with different professional competency meet and IT startups are shaped and etablished. In about 48 hours people team up and work on novel concepts, in order to pitch a final buisness sunday night in front of a judging panel.
On friday evening 38 ideas were presented all followed by a round of applause and cheering. It was quite amazing to see people pick up courage to stand up and tell the others about their ideas. Now all the ideas hang on a clothesline i the canteen of INCUBA Sciencepark in It-byen Katrinebjerg. Every participant was dressed in a white tee shirt with key words that described his or hers qualifications. I spotted quite a few programmers, designers and buisnessmen so now I look forward to see what all these guys can perform during the next two days.
The Startup Weekend crew says you rock.
